ドクターマーチンのブーツは何十年もの間、履くことで勇気を与え、進歩のために戦うアーティストや人々に愛用されてきました。本コラボレーションでは、クラシックな1460 8ホールブーツに、イギリスの前衛的なシュルレアリストでありオカルティストであるイセル・コフーンのアティテュードを落とし込みました。クラシックなブーツをキャンバスに、彼女の最も表現力豊かな作品「Volcanic Flare」© Tate を表現しています。 
 
イセル・コフーンは、順応や妥協を拒んだ挑発的なアーティストでした。彼女の作品はオカルトと自然に深く根ざし、セックスとジェンダーを探求しています。シュルレアリスムの屹立した男性像と並んで見過ごされがちな彼女の作品を、ドクターマーチンはテートとのコラボレーションを通じてアイテムに投影し讃えます。
